CERN

In the framework of CERN collaboration with Intel in the openlab, Dr. Jeffrey Arnold [Senior Software Engineer at Intel] is joining the openlab team for a period of two months. Jeff will collaborate with CERN experts to understand how memory is used by applications in multicore servers. The domain is particularly relevant because of the rapid increase of the number of cores per processor and the requirement to keep constant the amount of memory per core in current acquisitions.

Jeff was already at CERN about twenty years ago when he worked for the Joint Digital Project Office.

Jeff, even for a short journey, welcome back on board!
