Thie week openlab received 4 Matrix N7 Enterprise switches from Enterasys with capacity for 300 1 Gbps connections. In addition hp delivered 16 rx2600 servers. Each machine hosts 2 Itanium2 processors operating at 1.3 GHz with 2GB of memory. Permanent storage is provided by three 73GB SCSI hard disks in each server.
