CERN, after consultation with its sponsors, has formalized the status of Contributor to the CERN openlab for DataGrid Applications.

Contributor status implies a lower financial commitment and correspondingly less benefit in terms of influence and exposure. It aims at fulfilling, for a limited amount of time, a specific technical need.

As a result, there are now two categories of openlab Sponsors: Partners -the initial status with full commitment and benefits- and the newly created Contributors.

Contributor status requires a contribution to CERN, in cash or in kind, of at least two hundred and fifty thousand Swiss Francs (250.000 CHF) over a period of one year
