The CERN openlab student
programme is open to B.Sc. or Ph.D. students in Computer Science
or Physics, interested in working at CERN on cutting-edge Grid
technology projects for two months during the period
June-September 2005, with the possibility of follow-on projects
in their home institutes. A Grid tutorial and study tours to
industrial labs, such as IBM in Zurich and HP in Grenoble, are
included in the programme.
There are no restrictions
on nationality for this programme. Candidates must be proposed
by a supervisor at their home institute, which normally covers
50% of associated costs. Closing date for submitting candidate
CV and letter of recommendation from supervisor is April 30th.
More information and selected topics for student projects are
outlined in the
pdf flyer.
