three sites joined the LHC Computing Grid (LCG) by providing
Intel Itanium 2 (IA64) processors as nodes. The sites are HP
Puerto Rico, HP Labs Bristol and the Poznan Supercomputing &
Networking Center. According to the LCG information system these
sites make up a total of around 310 CPUs. They are the first
64bit nodes in LCG. Openlab in collaboration with CERN's LCG
Deployment team provides an IA64 version of the LCG middleware.
