The two Finnish companies, F-Secure Corporation and Stonesoft Corporation have formally joined the openlab as Contributor, as from the 1st of January 2006.

F-Secure will contribute in the fields of malware protection, anti-spyware, intrusion detection and intrusion prevention with a particular focus on client security and mail server security.

Stonesoft will contribute in the field of intrusion detection and intrusion prevention with a particular focus on combining events from network and client level security products.

This contribution is organized in collaboration with the Helsinki Institute of Physics (HIP). In this context, Antti Kalervo Pirinen, a computer specialist from HIP, will work at CERN on the project.
