Robert Aymar, CERN Director General, presents LHC Computing
Awards to Intel and Oracle

This morning, during the LHC Grid Fest, Robert Aymar, CERN
Director General, awarded Intel and Oracle for their outstanding
contribution to LHC computing. Wolfgang von Rüden, Head of
CERN's IT Department and Head of CERN openlab, also highlighted
HP involvement. This company had already been
awarded by
ALICE experiment in October 2007.
Stephen Pawlowski, Intel Corporation Digital Enterprise Group
Chief Technology Officer and Stéphane Rousset, Oracle Senior
Vice-President Europe Middle East & Africa, received the two LHC
Computing Awards.
