Boris Yordanov Robev is studying at St. Kliment Ohridski
University, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is currently attending the
first year of his M.Sc in Computer Science. He started to
take an interest in distributed systems, cluster and
grid computing few years ago and had the chance to increase
his knowledge and skills during his stay at JINR last year.
The CERN openlab summer student programme is a new good
opportunity to work on such topics and Boris is currently working on a project
related to the automation of the CERN accounting data
collection for the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG). The
objective is to deploy a tool providing a monitoring and
notification mechanism to check the patching status of all
nodes and clusters in the CERN Computer Centre. This project
will help the administrators of the Computer Centre keeping
multiple machines up-to-date
